BEACH: A public beach (no lifeguard), a playground and a running track is a five- minute walk.
BIKES: Please ride with caution and only on the roads. Please supervise your children to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
BOAT LAUNCH: Complimentary for our campers and available to non-campers and boaters for $5.00. An annual boat launch pass may be purchased for $40.00. The boat launch is paved (no dock) and accommodates boats up to 26 feet in length. Please note there is no boat tie-up allowed in the canal.
From KEMPTVILLE, take highway 43 west (exit # 34 off the 416 highway). Continue on highway 43 west, through Kemptville for approximately 15 minutes. As you enter Merrickville you will pass under a train bridge and at the first stop sign in town you will see the United Church on the right. Continue across St. Lawrence Street and after passing the Blockhouse Museum on the right turn right onto Saint John Street. The street curves at the entrance to our campground. Welcome!
From SMITHS FALLS, take highway 43 east for approximately 15 minutes. The highway turns right at the chip stand. Pass over the canal and turn right onto Main Street. Turn right onto Saint John Street (the first right) and the street curves into our campground entrance. Welcome!
From HIGHWAY 401, exit #721. Take highway 416 north to the Kemptville Highway 43 exit (exit number 34). Then follow the directions above from Kemptville.
DUMP STATION: Complimentary for our campers and available to non-campers for $10.00.
EVENTS: A calendar of events is posted on our bulletin board and in the office.
FIREWOOD: Complimentary for our campers. Campfires permitted, if a fire ban in not in place, in our fire-pits only. Please do not move the fire-pits as there are underground utility lines. Fires need to be extinguished when you leave your site and when you retire for the evening. Bringing firewood into our campground is prohibited.
GARBAGE: Please use small bags, tie them closed and place inside designated garbage bins. Do not burn garage or leave it on your site, including cigarette butts, bottle caps, bread ties, peanut shells and can tabs. Please sort your recycling at our designated recycling stations.
ICE: Ice is available for purchase at the office for $3.00 per bag.
LAUNDRY: Coin operated laundry machines are available for our campers and boaters. Wash and dry $3.00 each load (loonies and or quarters accepted).
LEGION: The Merrickville Legion Branch 245 is very close and available for Friday night dinners and entertainment.
LIONS: Welcome visiting Lions members! Our meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, 7pm at the Goose and Gridiron Restaurant, St. Lawrence Street, here in Merrickville. Come join us in the back room for our meeting.
MESSAGES: Messages received by the campground managers will be posted in the office. Only emergency messages will be delivered to your site.
PAYMENT METHODS: Cash, Mastercard, Visa and the Square.
PLAYGROUND: A playground is a five-minute walk.
RECYCLING: We are proud to say we recycle in support of the Shriners with the collection of aluminum cans, beer and liquor bottles. Please sort your donations at our recycling stations.
RESERVATIONS: To check site availability or to make a reservation, please contact us at 613-269-3702 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For the 2019 camping season, we will reply to messages left during the off-season beginning on May 12, 2019.
RULES & REGULATIONS: Please read and follow our rules and regulations. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask our campground managers.
RUNNING TRACK: A running track is a five-minute walk.
SEASON DATES: For the 2019 camping season, we open on Thursday, May 16, 2019 and we close on Monday, October 14, 2019.
SHOPPING: Unique shops, restaurants, grocery and convenience stores one block away.
SHOWER FACILITIES: Complimentary for our campers and available to non-campers and boaters for $5.00 per person.
WASHROOMS: Please help us keep the washrooms clean. They are closed for cleaning from 10:00am to 10:30am and 7:00pm to 7:30pm. If the washrooms are not clean, please let us know. Children six and under must be accompanied by an adult please. A key is available (deposit required).
WIRELESS HIGHSPEED INTERNET: Complimentary for our guests.

ALCOHOL: Responsible drinking on campsites only. Provincial law does not permit walking around the campground with open alcohol.
BOATS: No boat tie up allowed in the Rideau Canal.
CAMPFIRES (all fires): All fires, if a fire ban is not in place, must be inside the fire-pits as placed by the campground managers. Please do not move the fire-pits as there are underground utility lines. Fires need to be extinguished when you leave your site & or when you retire for the evening. Return unused wood to the pit.
CIGARETTE BUTTS: Please use ashtrays and not the ground or fire-pits.
CONDUCT: We have a zero tolerance for disorderly conduct, including theft and or vandalism.
DRONES: Drones are not permitted anywhere or at anytime on our premises, including flying lanterns, etc.
FIREWORKS: Fireworks are not permitted anywhere or at anytime on our premises.
GARBAGE: Black bins are for bagged garbage only, including properly tied dog waste. Do not burn garbage or food.
GENERATORS: Permitted between 9-11am and 6-8pm so long as you are also respectful of the ‘noise’ rules.
LEAVE NO TRACE: Upon leaving you site, please respect the “Leave No Trace” initiative.
MATS: In an effort to save our grass, we will limit the size of exterior mats to a maximum size of 4’ x 8’. Exceptions for breathable outdoor mats, such as, Aero-Weave.
NOISE: Excessive noise will not be permitted including, loud music, generators, voices and or pets.
PETS: Pets must have current vaccinations, be on a leash at all times and are not to be alone on the site. Owners must pick up after their pets. More than one pet per site is generally, not permitted, but exceptions may be accommodated at the campground managers’ discretion.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are between 11pm and 8am.
RECYCLING: Blue bins are labelled for either dry paper products/cardboard, metal, glass and plastics. Please do not break glass.
SPEED LIMIT: The speed limit in the campground is 10kms / 7mph. Please drive with caution.
SWIMMING POOLS: Children’s pools are generally, not permitted.
TABLES: Only one picnic table per site. Please ask for assistance in repositioning the tables in order to protect yourself from injury as well our grass. Group bookings may have additional tables at the campground managers’ discretion.
VEHICLES: One vehicle per site. All other vehicles must be parked in the overflow parking area or off-site. Washing of vehicles is not permitted.
VISITORS / GUESTS: All visitors/guests are the responsibility of our campers and must be checked-in and sign our guest register. The campground managers reserve the right to limit the number of guests. Generally, guests may arrive no later than 8pm and are to leave by 11pm.
WOOD: Firewood is complementary for our campers. We do not allow wood brought into our campground from elsewhere.
